The following designs have been submitted for this years T-shirt logo and will be considered by the planning committee.

Important !  Experience has taught us that some parameters must be followed if we are to make a good T-shirt design. First, a maximum of four to five colors must be used to make it economical. Second, the design must be on an 8.5 x 11 paper so that it can be easily scanned. This year we will be doing color separation by computer to help reduce the cost.

Remember that these drawings are rough drafts and could appear differently on the t-shirts.

A Zia or Hopi sun composed solely in a design made by the words:

South: GATHERING
West: ("OF":using "OF" and a symbol or a symbol standing alone to replace the word "OF;"  a symbol such as a sun or an eagle or a fire or another symbol (such as children holding hands or in a small circle of two,  three,  four,  or five)
North: CIRCLES

Colors:  Gathering in red,  Circles in black,  2005 in yellow,  symbol/of in white; (or other similar blending);  or all black on an Earth colored tee shirt with beautiful simple scripted as if handwritten letters.

A line of tall Ponderosa Pines in forest green on a tan/taupe/brown/beige or golden tee
with The Gathering of Circles 2005 written in black or ink darker than the tee but in the same color ink as the tee color at the base of the trees. If greater complexity of design desired,  for effect,  an eagle or pair in one treetop or flying above.

A feather with the tip up toward the head and the base down at the stomach at either the full left side or right side of the tee,  not in the center.  The feather plain or decorated with graphic beads,  etc. at its base.
2005
The
Gathering
of
Circles
written at the edge of the feather
as if the feather is smudging and blessing the prayer of the gathering to the universe.
Colors:  as multifaceted as the birds of the air.  I leave that to you men.

A drawing of each element with a corresponding word:
Gathering (A flame or bonfire drawn)
Of (a raindrop or...)
Circles (A cloud...)
2005 (A mountain...)
drawn in a line as if writing in code like a childhood training in survival symbols
Red ink on black tee shirts.
Someone could look up Indian symbols that were used across the nation for tribes to understand one another.  I have seen them darn before.  So,  the written sign language for fire,  air,  earth,  water.... and even for Gathering of Circles and the numbers 2, 0, 0,5.

Drawing # 8 Submitted by Donna Kirby:

Earth, Water, Air and Fire appears the brightest at this time. Fire gives us heat and lights the way of the Future and the Past. The TREE may burn, but it's ashes give new life for the trees in the Future. Nature takes it's course, but WE MUST be ever vigilant to protect and care for the environment. The Mandela's Coloring Book by Susanne F. Fincher and my love of trees inspired me to draw this design. (Mandala #45).

A shift from chaos to transformative wisdom, a re-ordering of all that was broken, a coming together of all that went before, a time of profound joy, when you feel perfectly in step with the cosmic dance.

Drawing # 9  Submitted by Sherri Young:

Attainment in this new millennium can only come from having already had the Stamina (elk) to go the distance thus far, giving thanks thru Prayer (buffalo) for the Abundance in our lives, the ability to Transform (butterfly) into a higher, more brilliant self - all of these offer great Power (horse) that we have each gained thru Understanding. To continue our individual journeys, we must recognize these gifts we already have, give thanks, and then continue to use them. Of course Grandfather Sun and Grandmother Moon watch over us while we are blanketed by the beauty of Father Sky and cradled in the arms of Mother Earth, the beautiful Mountain.

Drawing # 10  Submitted by Sherri Young:

Spirit in Motion. We can attain nothing without Spirit. I used black to represent not only the West, but also the Void where Answer lives. Yellow for the East and illumination and clarity. Red for the innocence found in the South position, Pink for Love, White for the wisdom of the North and Blue for Spirit. Simple hearts easily recognized as a symbol of love to honor the Four Directions and a sense of movement to remind us all that Life does not stand still. Attainment requires forward motion.

Drawing # 13  Submitted by Carol Dawn:

As individual circles and groups of circles we come together to the center. We enter the gateway... together. We then spiral outward again -taking with us the teachings, knowledge, compassion ... love, beauty, and colors of life ... all we have gathered on our journeys. We take everything outward to every dimension of our world and other worlds. We disperse into the symphony of the universe with our personal melodies..
