1. How I See Myself -
Mike Andrews
Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00
We all have our self-images of ourselves as we think we
are, or as we may have been in the past. In this workshop, we will start with
"reality", but quickly throw it out the window and explore alternative
realities. This workshop will allow us to see somewhat more of ourselves as we
are by changing our appearances. We will modify our appearance through
manipulating and marking on Polaroid SX-70 photographs. We will discuss
(one-on-one) how you would like to be photographed (location, props, poses, or
whatever can be made visible) and then I will make the photograph. You will have
about 10-15 minutes to draw on the photograph before the emulsion hardens into a
permanent image, then you can paint or color on the photograph (I will show you
some ways you can do this). We will break into groups of twos to discuss our
self-images and the photographs. We will reassemble as a group and anyone
wishing to discuss the photographs MAY do so, but that will not be a
requirement.
I have used the SX-70 camera for about 10 years to make fine art photographs, including portraits, that have been exhibited in art galleries and in one-person shows of my art work at two museums. The photographs made with the SX-70 may start with reality, but they allow alternative realities to be created. Portraits are always a collaboration between the photographer and the sitter, but this workshop will allow the sitter to express who they think they are and allow the participant to discuss themselves as they "see" themselves.

2. How to Make and Use
Prayer Beads -
Pamela Scheler & Sheri Young
Friday 3:30 pm to 5:15
Prayer beads have been used in spiritual practices for
thousands of years to allow the user to focus on a prayer or a mantra. Because
prayer beads can be worn or carried with us all of the time they are a reminder
that our whole lives are a prayer.A strand of prayer beads when made with intention can become powerful metaphors
for our life. We will be making a prayer bead bracelet. Come with an intention
and special beads, amulets, talismans, or other objects from your life to
incorporate into this ceremony. Beads and supplies will be available with a
donation of $5-$10 to cover cost.
Pamela Lightsong is the Pipe Carrier for the Rainbow Bridge
Clan and has led ceremonies for the last 10 years at the GOC and Healing Hearts.
Through her honest sharing of her life experiences, she helps others on their
spiritual walk. In her daily life, Pamela works with children and families.
Sheri is an artist and a writer at heart, who works with spirits and the fairy folk receiving messages of guidance that help us trust our own knowing. Daily she works with animals and one cantankerous veterinarian.

14. Mother Circle Initiation
- Carol Dawn
Friday 6:00 pm to 7:30
I was asked, "Why would someone want to attend this
workshop?" It is an initiation rather than a workshop and many of you will
not choose to attend. This formerly secret initiation is for individuals deeply
serious about finding and living their personal sacred path. Three vows
(secrecy, a task, commitment to walk your path) will be presented with an option
of leaving before each vow is taken. You may not come late to this presentation.
The Mother Circle Initiation was given to me many years ago with a vow of secrecy. It has recently been revealed that it is time for it to be brought forth to small appropriate groups rather than one-on-one. I have worked in depth with many world teachings. Native American teachings and Buddhist Tantra have been my focus. My personal pursuit is facilitating the evolution of consciousness and enlightenment. My education and certifications do not qualify me, sacred teachings do.
