How
do we handle relationships in our lives? Often
times we focus on what is missing rather than the beauty of what is.
The artist has many symbols drawn to explain her feelings about her
sister. As each one of us looks at
this hand and thinks of our own family and friends other symbolic meanings may
come into our awareness.
For
instance, the infinity sign confirms that our spirits go on forever; the
lightening bolts remind us that life is risky but courage and passion outweigh
fear; the flowers, which sometimes grow in the most unexpected places, prove
that life is resilient and beautiful; the moon and stars help us recognize that
we are always connected; and the heart, which is always at the center, yearns
for us to listen and follow our bliss.
Come
this weekend and hold out your hand to the possibilities of what is and what
could be. We will share and
participate in activities that will strength our ability to trust, create, and
love more fully in this soul journey called life.
RECOGNIZING
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD This
will be a journey to recognize how God works with and through us everyday.
I have been realizing throughout this year that because God is everywhere,
in the next song we hear, the next TV show we watch, the next
synchronistic happening in our lives, and in every one of us, that I have
been missing a lot of the show.
I now have eyes to see, ears to hear, and an open heart to feel and
recognize God in everything. Always God has been there awaiting us in our
darkest hour, our happiest moment, at virtually every instant to re-member
we are all one. I invite you to realize you are and always will be a
member of the greatest force in the universe. In fact, You are the
greatest force in the universe. May the force be with you. Brett

What the artist says about Gloria's Hand:
Gloria's
Hand
This
design was made for my sister: my best friend. It represents a loving hand on
her heart. The thumb is green because everyone needs to be able to grow things.
The pinkie is elaborately decorated so even if it is useless, at least it
can be beautiful. An ancient legend says there is a direct line from the ring
finger to the heart. So I've covered it with hearts. The next two fingers
contain the most power and creativity, so they have lightning bolts. And the
moon is there to remind us that we can both be looking at the same moon at the
same time and be together even if we're 2,000 miles apart. D.L. Sites
1996.
Give-a-way:
Bring a gift wrapped in a paper bag for the “give-a-way.” This should be
something of significance (meaningful) to you, which you now want to relinquish
your attachment to, and let pass on to a new keeper. The size or monetary value
of this item is irrelevant but the more significant to you the better. It may be
symbolic of something of yourself, which you have or wish to turn loose of so
that your “hands” are freed up for your present pursuits. Listen to your
heart in deciding what to “give-a-way” at this time.
Directions: Go to Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Take Hwy 130 South out of Cloudcroft for 1.2 miles. Turn left at Sleepy Grass Campground or 0.7 miles. Turn right on 5661 for 3.9 miles. Turn left at 5661 marker, look for forked tree on left before turn. Then turn left again immediately and follow road. Signs will be posted.
Registration: Please pre-register with Cliff Buchanan, 1404 Castle Road, Odessa TX 79762, 915-550-3302, WinterFox@GatheringOfCircles.com .
