Raffles
GOC raffle coordinator for 2013, Shawna Mitchell and Loretta Starkey are calling for items for this year's gathering. If you have something of value to donate, please e-mail a detailed description and, if possible, a digital photo to sierras33@aol.com . An easy way is to take a photo with your digital phone and message that photo to Cliff Buchanan at 432-553-1143 or Shawna Mitchell at 325-668-2563. The raffle is one of the main fund-raisers for the GOC, along with the pancake breakfast, T-shirts, and cash donations. All raffle items come from you, the GOC community. So please help make the raffle a success by contributing one or more items.
Usually we have about 20 items in the raffle, but the more the better! At first you may not think you have anything to donate, but please look around your home. An object may speak to you that it's time to relinquish it for a good cause. Paintings, pottery, jewelry, weavings, blankets, quilts, crafts, books and gift baskets all make good raffle items. Anything you can bring with you to the gathering and that you imagine others would enjoy winning will be welcome.
Raffle tickets will sell for $1 each. You do not have to be present to win. Just email Shawna how many tickets you want and for which item. You MUST purchase them before July 26 if you do not attend. Please purchase these online by using the GENERAL donation button on the main GOC 2013 page here (minimum donation 20 tickets). Or send a check to Shawna or Cliff.
