GOC raffle coordinators for 2010, Rita and Tony Popp, are calling for items for this year's gathering. If you have something of value to donate, please e-mail a detailed description and, if possible, a digital photo to ritapopp@msn.com. The raffle is one of the main fund-raisers for the GOC, along with the pancake breakfast, T-shirts, and cash donations. All raffle items come from you, the GOC community. So please help make the raffle a success by contributing one or more items.

Usually we have about 20 items in the raffle, but the more the better! At first you may not think you have anything to donate, but please look around your home. An object may speak to you that it's time to relinquish it for a good cause. Paintings, pottery, jewelry, weavings, blankets, quilts, crafts, books and gift baskets all make good raffle items. Anything you can bring with you to the gathering and that you imagine others would enjoy winning will be welcome.

Raffle tickets will sell for $1 each.  If you have any questions about the raffle, please contact the Popps:

ritapopp@msn.com or 575-526-1317.

Thank you! See you in August.

If you want them to be brilliant, read them even more Fairy Tales.’—Albert Einstein.” The other reads, “IMAGINE. Daydream . . . then follow through . . .  See possibility, be bold, blossom.”

I am donating this fired clay sculpture for the raffle this year. It is by the artist Ron Head...his art may be viewed at www.ronhead.net    Originally when he gave me this he called it "one with nature-the circle of life"...it is entitled "fisherman" on his web site...the base is 12 inches wide...8 inches deep...and the sculpture is approximately 11 inches tall. Can't wait to be in the tall trees...with love and respect.
