Two Bears - Click to enlarge  Mike Andrews is the Workshop Coordinator for 2009

He is responsible for getting all the workshops together and scheduling them. It is a tough job. He also prints up the workshop info to have available at the GOC.

Mike Two Bears lives near Taos, NM in the El Salto area of Arroyo Seco. "El Salto" ("jump off") is a Spanish colloquialism for "waterfall" and there are seven waterfalls there that are sacred to the people at Taos Pueblo. Many people are familiar with Taos Mountain, which is sacred to the Pueblo, but El Salto Peak is the masculine balance of the feminine Taos Mountain. Mike is qualified to be Workshop Coordinator because he has been practicing his "I don't know" for some years now.

Can you "prepare" for what is truly unknown and might be a new paradigm? What is "2012" and could it be a New Beginning? Could it be a "Breakdown" or a "Breakthrough"?

Mike Two Bears lives near Taos, NM in the El Salto area of Arroyo Seco. Wanda Wade - Trefalger Twist Wanda Wade - Salsa for the Soul
Friday 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Latin dance steps done to my moose head drum. We'll learn the steps.  Put them into a dance and then partner up if we so desire.  The intent is to dance to the beat of our own hearts with no expectations and no judgements. May our hearts beat as one as we step into new beginnings.

Having taught dance for 28 years, practicing yoga for 34 years and healing arts for the past 6 years, I finally found away to integrate these practices into a soulful dance with the saucy energy of Salsa.

Provided by Jazz Jaeschke

The GOC labyrinth is an archetypal pattern that has defined sacred space for over 4000 years – integral to many cultures including Native American, Greek, Celtic, and Mayan.

Labyrinth geometry is a metaphor for life’s journey.  The path takes you to center, but along the way it’s hard to judge your progress and how much further you must go. Labyrinths are also a meditation tool.  Walking the labyrinth requires attention to where your feet fall, creating a meditative state that enhances concentration on prayers or concerns held in your heart.

The GOC labyrinth is self-guided.  You’ll find the flag waving in a meadow at the end of the primary road through the campsites [the road lined with port-a-potties]. This site was selected to offer a quiet experience with few distractions. When you visit the GOC labyrinth, please run your fingers through the vessel of stones.  In doing so you blend your energy with that of those who have walked before you and leave your energy for those who will follow.  If you’d like, take a stone with you to remember your walk.
