Wade - Creating a personal Yoga practice Relax, renew, heal. Guided meditation, and yoga techniques that you can take home and use everyday to make you feel great. Yoga has been a part of my life longer than my husband, Bob, of 32 years. Along with raising four children, teaching dance for 27 years, etc., I have managed to practice yoga daily, receiving my teaching certification with Sivananda Ashram in Nassau Bahamas. Healing Circle - Time: as needed In the realm of the
GOC, many attendees are either massage therapists and/or involved in some type
of healing work. The healing circle is a way that we can share our talents
and wisdom. We will set a schedule when enough of us have arrived. Each
person will both give a treatment and receive a treatment as the circle goes
around. Any treatment that occurs within this space will be on a "pay
it forward" basis only. Each participant needs to bring a sheet for the
table. Wanda Wade, 236 Hurt Street,

Chris Flores - Red Spiders' Lessons Continue This
is the second part of Red Spiders' teachings. We will begin with an overview of
the 2007 workshop discussion about the basic anchors of a web. These anchors
include grandparents, parents, siblings, home, and education. We will then
move to discussions about the secondary anchors which are love, partnerships,
money, careers, and purpose. These anchors will allow us to discover how your
web forms and how it can be utilized to provide you guidence and wisdom as you
travel this world. Handout will be provided. Bring something to write with as we
will be creating your personal web. Understanding the world described by "Sshial-eate" is not an easy task when it is limited by the images and symbols that I am able to comprehend, but I am willing to share some of what has been conveyed to me. "Sshiala-eate", "Combus", "Nwe" and "Eate" also speak of future events within this realm, and have provided images that I have yet to decipher. Perhaps with your help, together we can unveil the future. Chris is a third generations "curandera" or healers and has provided years of healings and guidance to those within her circle. Though she has always been aware of her gifts, traveling to the GOC for the first time in 2003 led her to recognize and refine her talents and gifts in relation to the spirit. She describes herself as a teacher in the service of the Great Spirit. Enthusiastic, gregarious and easy to talk to, Chris first heard the voice of the "Fire Spirits of the Mountain" at the GOC Sweet Medicine Dance in 2003 and has in subsequent years passed along many messages from the fire spirit to the dancers. This is the second year that Chris will be presenting a workshop from teachings of the "Fire Spirit of the Mountain" and from her own personal totem, "Red Spider". Presently, she is an educator within the North East Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas, where her focus is on listening to the hearts of our youth and encouraging their growth through self-discovery. GOC
Labyrinth The GOC labyrinth is an archetypal pattern that has defined sacred space for over 4000 years – integral to many cultures including Native American, Greek, Celtic, and Mayan. Labyrinth geometry is a metaphor for life’s journey. The path takes you to center, but along the way it’s hard to judge your progress and how much further you must go. Labyrinths are also a meditation tool. Walking the labyrinth requires attention to where your feet fall, creating a meditative state that enhances concentration on prayers or concerns held in your heart.
The GOC labyrinth is self-guided. You’ll find the flag waving in a meadow at the end of the primary road through the campsites [the road lined with port-a-potties]. This site was selected to offer a quiet experience with few distractions. When you visit the GOC labyrinth, please run your fingers through the vessel of stones. In doing so you blend your energy with that of those who have walked before you and leave your energy for those who will follow. If you’d like, take a stone with you to remember your walk.
