Finally, its that time again when all of us from 16 to 96 can come together for food, fun and general gal-pal time,  on May 3 (Sat) ,   May  4  (Sun),  03. at Balmorhea State Park here in West Texas.

  2. Bring the usual weekend camping gear (plus a flashlights)  and what ever food you prefer for Saturday and Sunday.  DON'T FORGET plenty of drinking water.

  3. As of 4-12-03 there was still no " fire ban" so if you travel in a pick-up please bring a few sticks of wood for burning.  Each person should bring two  fist-sized rocks for the Fire Ring ceremony.

  4. Also inportant; bring your own hair brush and a blanket if you want to participate in the Naming ceremony.

  5. Sunday morning is the  "Give-A-Way" and "Partings" ceremonies.

Life lessons this year will be from "Wolf" and Cheryl Helmers will have a discussion from  "Who speaks for Wolf ".  There will also be teachers  of beading, traditional fan construction, dream catchers, and "God's Eye "  mandela's plus lots of sand stories and ceremonies .  Plenty of "Down-time" for hikes, swimming, sun bathing, chatting with friends and girl talk. This year we do have a VERY modified and brief agenda.  No watches, date planners or cell phones are ever required,  however with all the activities offered  SOME decision making skills are necessary.

So pack up,  grab up a good friend  and take a bus, plane, burro or vehicle and join all of us. I will be at the camp site location in Balmorhea State Park by 4:00

Gathering Of Circles, August 07-10, Cloudcroft, New Mexico

The Gathering of Circles was born out of an idea. An idea shared by three men, Patrick McNulty, Dan Leonard, and Bobby Ashworth, having coffee one day. "Wouldn’t it be nice if people from all the various circles got together for a camp out and we all could just celebrate knowing each other. "Yeah, and we could share our talents and our knowledge and could practice our workshop presentations on each other and wouldn’t that be a great gift." So that is how the GOC began. We just did it!
